An amazing photograph, taken at the very instant of Beeding’s 82.6G deceleration. At the left, the Daisy Track’s box-like brake reservoir, out of which water is seen escaping at high pressure, is clearly visible. Beeding hurt his back, but for his pains he was rewarded with a listing in the 1959 Guinness Book of World Records. (Official USAF photo courtesy of Eli Beeding)
