The American Aviation Historical Society is hosting a full day of aviation history among friends, pilots and their airplanes at the AAHS Annual Meeting. Included the day’s activities are a vintage aircraft aircraft fly-in partnership with the Antique Aircraft Association and the International Stinson Club, a workshop on the ongoing restoration of a historic Stinson 108, a tour of Flabob’s amazing racing aircraft replicas of the 1930s, and lunch and presentation from Jonna Doolittle, who will give a fascinating view of early aviation pioneer Jimmy Doolittle, her grandfather. Walk around one of the oldest active airports in California, that houses both EAA Chapter 1, and headquarters for the QuietBirdmen. Many antique aircraft such as the DC-3 ‘Flabob Express’ and the Tom Wathen Aviation High School center all call Flabob home. So don't forget your camera or video recorder. Non-members are welcome to attend. The non-member price includes a one year e-membership to the Society. The day will wrap up with a cocktail hour at EAA Hangar 1 for a relaxing evening of wines, cheeses -- so bring your cameras. Flights in historic aircraft are available, weather permitting!
