NASA-Langley free flight tunnel while a group of NACA employees along the upper catwalk, watch this strange vehicle. This model appears to be the Langley version, with a slightly increased wingspan against the NACA-Ames short span glider. 455L was controlled by an umbilical cable that appears to originate at the control booth in the upper right corner of the photo.
