This Douglas DC-6A, msn 43839, line no. 368, was delivered to American Airlines in May 1953 and is easily identified as a freighter version by the large cargo doors and lack of fuselage windows. The plane was operated by Braniff from 1960 to 1967 before being sold to Aerocargo in Mexico (registered as XA-SOL) where it was eventually scrapped.
