Race pilot Art Chester and his racer "The Goon," NX93Y, at the National Air Races of 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio. "The Goon" used a Menasco C-65-4 inline engine. Chester won the 1939 Greve Trophy Race with a record breaking speed of 263.4 mph. "The Goon" was forced out of 3rd place and the race in the 18th lap of the Thompson Trophy Race by a tired engine.
