This Kingfisher was the last surviving one, shown here at the Dutch island of Curacao in May 1948, after the CAA shut down. It carries the "limited category" U.S. registration NL-1100M. On the nose is the name of "Intercontinental Sales Company, San Juan P.R.," probably the business of Gene Bell.  (Photo from Jerry Casius Collection)
