Reproducing a lost machine

Reproducing this machine is different from any other Wright aircraft--no photographs exist of is at all. The drawing produced in 1912 does not show the kite from the top, so several key details about the kite's construction are left unknown. How many ribs did the kite have? How big was the elevator?

The craftsman reproducing the kite must rely on what exists, keeping the kite true to its method of control, and making some creative decisions as to the unknown information. To date, the Wright Experience has built three different kite models, with varying numbers of ribs, fabric coverings, methods of fastening struts to ribs, etc.
