     The 50th anniversary of the U.S. Air Force is commemorated by this book with fine aviation art and color photographs and informative text. Each of the 50 years is reviewed and the important events & dates of USAF development are given. Color photographs and aviation art show the important aircraft of each year. Some of the aviation artists whose works are featured are Keith Ferris, Robert G. Smith, Mike Machat, Lou Drendel, Craig Kodera, George Akimoto, Robert E. Cunningham, William S. Phillips, and many more. The approximately 55 paintings of USAF aircraft measure  5.75"x8.75", the 148 color photos are of various sizes. The book contains an excellent post WWII USAF history and is recommended reading.
