This is an informative and well illustrated book on the operational history of the F-4 Phantom. The author has relied on personal contributions of many former Phantom pilots and has presented the information in a very readable book. After a brief introduction to the Phantom in Chapter I the author tells a very interesting story of the introduction and operational history of the aircraft. The numerous personal anecdotes keep the interest level high. There is an excellent glossary and an appendix section containing information on Navy squadrons and aircraft production series. Unfortunately, there is no appendix. Nonetheless the book is recommended for all the personal accounts and would be a good addition to any aviation library.
