Major Raoul Lufbery stands before his U.S. Air Services
Nieuport 28 on April 18, 1918. The Ace's talent as a great combat patrol
leader was used to teach combat tactics to the American aviators of the newly
organized 94th and 95th Aero Pursuit Squadrons. His students included many
future aces such as Eddie Rickenbacker. |
